Since it is on your lot (partly) go to Build mode and use the Sledgehammer on it.
Thank you for the reply, but I should have been more specific about my previous attempts to remove it. The sledgehammer does not register it, and I even removed the brickwork under it in another attempt.
Save your Lot to your library then Bulldoze it. Place the lot again from the library.
