Everything stops
After this update, a few minutes into my gameplay, everything would stop, even the game time (this would happen through all my saves). Played and NPC Sims will remain in any action they are performin...

Try resetting your sims 4 folder, and testing in a fresh new save game without putting back any of your data in the sims 4 folder and see if the issue remains.
