I just got a Samsung Chromebook, And i have been planning on downloading the sims 4 ever since ive heard its going to be created...
And My chromebook i guess has its own Google Os... Or whatever, But i was wondering that if i download the sims 4 off of orgin *this will be in the begining of november)
So my question is, Will it work if i download it?
And Do you have to choose os or windows? If you do, Which one should i choose?
And if it doesnt work would i be able to get a refund?
this is the first computer ive used that i have to download it off orgin and that is so confusing.
thanks for the help

Sims 4 is only for pc right now. You cannot download Origin to it and it needs windows to run it.

Does it work on chromebooks now by chance ? it's been three years

No. It does not.
Chromebook uses a different OS so unless they release a specific version for Chromebook, it will never work.T

Sims 4 does not run on chromebooks. You need a Windows computer as Indy said above

can you play sims on a cloudbook?
we are having same problem. hopefully developers will make available.

You may be able to if you can get a PHYSICAL copy.
You can get a usb CD reader, Wine(a Windows emulator for chromebooks), and a 16gb SD
It will take a while for you to get Wine set up,i might add.
If not you can find a old office compter to run it on.(It has very low specs)

Chromebooks don't support The Sims 4 at this moment.
So the only way you can play is on MAC or Windows.

HI @bribri12349
no it does not. Sims 4 is for PC/Mac only (well, there's also a console version now)
- Anonymous8 years ago
that did not help at all! Ugh what do i do
- crinrict8 years agoHero+
Get a Windows Computer or a Mac (or if you bought the game, try returning it through customer support)
There's really nothing else you can do.

- 7 years agoI am pretty sure it is only for Mac and Pc currently. I have found a free installation that is compatible with Mac, but none for chrome. A good solution would be ChromeOS which you can download on your Mac, and sync to a chromebook. You then can access those files/ downloads to play the game.

Please don't necromance an old thread that has a solution.

how do i do that i have chrome os on my chromebook
- 7 years ago
Sims 4 cannot be run on a Chromebook, as the game wasn't designed to be run on them.
Sims 4 is for PC/Mac and PS4/Xbox One.
Think of a Chromebook as a tablet that has a keyboard attached, it can only play certain type of app games.
How do you do that?
Would that make it compatible with the Chromebook?
- Phantomlover17177 years agoHero+
You can't make it compatible with a Chromebook. The Chrome OS isn't supported by the game. You need either Windows or Mac to run the game.
- 7 years agono i have had it for a while and it doesnt work

I'm really ticked off I have wanted the sims for a long time and now I finally have my own Chromebook to do it on and I find out that it doesn't work. this is so dumb.

You should have checked what a Chromebook is capable of. Remember that it basically is a Tablet with a keyboard attached.
