First Vistor outside the family milestone awarded and there was no visitor

The toddlers are sleeping in bed and nobody in sight. It wasn't the butler because he is currently passed out in the kitchen floor because one of my sims fed on him. The maid was here, and the gardener might have showed up, but they always do their thing and then leave. As soon as I saw the milestone I immediately clicked to go to them to see who was visiting as nobody had been invited in. There is just nobody around and getting a milestone for something that was not achieved just doesn't sit well with me. Not the end of the world and I can handle it as I was about to invite family and friends over to meet them anyway. But I wanted to report this because it should not have happened.

    I'm just wondering as you are reporting everything in gameplay and say that you want to report it. Gameplay is mostly user helping users with game questions and problems. There's a bug forum for reporting bugs.

    that said, it could be that the maid or the gardener triggered it with a delay ? Or did you have them show up before and it didn't trigger ?

    I see, I think. I guess I did not think I am the one to determine if something is a bug or not. I will start reporting in the bug forum. Thank you for pointing this out and I will read those articles you shared as well.

    You don't have to determine if it is one but if you want to report something and not just ask other users for help/clarification (sometimes that's a good thing to do), the bug forum is better. It can then be determined by the team if it IS a bug or not and your post will be handled accordingly.

    I cannot be sure on the timeline to be able to answer your question so I won't surmise about it. I do know that there is something wrong with the milestone because they got some just fine, then this happened where it was awarded with no apparent reason, and ever since that happened, further milestones are making the toddler glow and the parents are cheering but no milestone is being awarded. And it keeps happening I have noticed, since I made this post. 

    I did reinstall mccc so that my family could be back together again and can't remove it because I will lose someone. So I guess I will have to split the family again and remove it and I will probably reinstall the game as well so I don't have to wonder if mccc is causing the problem in some way. My apologies for wasting your time before I did so. It has just been so nice to have them back together but I should have known better.
