JonahSparkles The folder with the game's program files, the one that has EPxx and SPxx subfolders, is irrelevant here... hopefully. Where is this Sims 4 folder located? You can right-click it and choose Properties > General to view the location.
Putting that aside, it sounds like your saves might be gone for good. Before you give up entirely though, it's worth doing a more comprehensive search. Download Everything, from VoidTools, which is a free and highly efficient search tool. The portable version is fine, and you don't have to pay.
Open Everything and search for Slot_ again. Let me know what you find.
But how did the game update do this though and can the bug be fixed soon
