Going to university deletes collections

My Sim has completed almost all the collections, such as frogs, crystals, etc. However, when I sign my Sim up to get a degree and she lives on campus, my collection tab gets reverted back, meaning no...

    yes single households can be a bit of an issue. You still join another household though when you go to uni.

    I need to test this out to be sure but as long as you move someone out of a household into a new one, collections stay in the old household. If that household is then empty, everything gets deleted. 

    It's not really a bug just the downside of how collections work.

    EDIT:

    So I gave this a test and if you move to uni housing, you go to a new household

    So I leave the old household and collections behind. Only solution for Sims living alone to keep their collections is to either put everything in their inventory or play from the house.
