@Psychotps, and @__B1ueFalcon__ , yes I agree -- it would be fantastic to have that feature! As a short person, I would love to have either a height slider, or at least 2 or 3 different height choices per age group older than toddler. ❤️ However, realistically, since they made the teens be the same height as the adults, I seriously doubt they are ever going to change this for the Sims 4. ☹️ But , I can still hope they add this for the Sims 5, if they ever make that! 😇

Now that I think about it, I don't think I've ever seen a game with height adjustments that didn't have alignment problems. Most games avoid having height sliders.
Mass Effect didn't. Skyrim didn't. Fallout didn't. Dragon Age didnt.
Mods added height adjustments to Skyrim but the animations had to "resize" everyone to the same size before running them, so you saw everyone's height go weird before the animations play.
It seems like it's always been an issue. Most games solve the problem by avoiding it. It IS easier.

@Psychotps, I thought it might be some issue like that , but since I don't really play other games anymore, I can't confirm or deny these things! Thanks for confirming the difficulty with adjusting height. I figured that since TS4 changed the height of teens to be identical to that of adults (when both TS2 and TS3 had separate heights for teens), that there must have been some issue with heights that TS4 was trying to avoid. I think in this case it was more of a clothing issue, since in TS2 and TS3 teens had their own wardrobes while in TS4 they have the same as adults. That was like a red flag to me that it must be difficult to make the same outfits fit different sizes! TS4 gets around that by having teens be the same height as adults, which I don't like 🤒, but at least it gives teens more clothing options! :eahigh_file: So, there is a trade off!
I'm still hoping for different heights for each age, or at least adults in the future versions of the Sims! 😳 I wont' be mad if they don't do it (I'm realistic 🤨 ) but I would love for them to figure it out! 😇

@PugLove888I'm sure that's part of it. Clothing alignment and Animation alignment depends on the height of the characters. CBBE in Skyrim and Fallout solved the clothing problem with Bodyslide. It adjusts the clothing to fit the body.
Animations aren't so easy. They completely depend on the character's body parts being in a specific location. Like a kiss animation wouldn't look right if their lips are at different heights.Think about it. What if the two characters are only 1 inch different in height? The taller sim would have to have the animation adjusted so they slightly bend over. What if they are 5 or 6 inches different? The animation would need to have them bend over even further, which means a different animation.
So, a different animation for every possible difference in height? You'd need an exponential increase in the number of animations.
So, how to solve that? Dynamically adjusted animations? Is that even possible?
Seems like a LOT of work to fix when all you need to do is disable heights.
