Is there any way we can get the spiral staircases in Sims 4?

While I love making multiple story homes & everything, I greatly miss the spiral staircases that were in Sims 3.  Can we please get them on Sims 4?!  It's just that the regular stairs take up so much room; and the spiral ones only took up, if I remember correctly, a 4 square area.

  • While it isn't a spiral staircase, they added a new stairs-system in which you can customize your stairs, like in the picture. Although it's a little more than a 4 square area, you can kinda create a spiral. (and other shapes too)

  • @21abc396552, technically in past versions of the game (TS2 and TS3, and perhaps TS1), spiral stairs and regular stairs took up exactly the same amount of spaces (4 for each), but the difference was that those spaces were arranged differently.🤨  Regular stairs would take up 4 spaces in a long but narrow row, and spiral staircases would take up 4 spaces in a square.  Still, depending on the layout of your Sim's house, one of the staircases would often be a better fit.😉

However, just like @Murry2211 mentioned, we can kind of make spiral stairs in the game with the configurable stairs that we already have in the game! 🙌  It might take a little practice to get the hang of it, but it can be done! 🙂

Omg why aren't spiral stairs a thing yet. It's so crazy. They don't even need to be configurable. If they simply lock into place like the ladders do I'd still be unmeasurable amounts of happy.

<I don't work for EA>I'm guessing there's something with the way building works in Sims 4 that makes it harder than it looks, although maybe the animations are also a thing?

There's a mod and the way the mod works is there are two pieces: there's a bottom piece that comes in 3 different wall heights and a top piece for the upper floor landing, and it doesn't come with animations. (Is a link to a video talking about mods off-topic? Um, the video is by Claire Siobhan.) Presumably, if they did it that way they'd need 3 different animations for the 3 different wall heights and a way to detect the wall height? I guess?

Then again, maybe they're not as hard as I think and they'll come with a future pack?</I don't work for EA>
