Lifestyles from snowy escape aren't in my game anymore

Since the February 25 update, I no longer have any trace of Snowy Escape lifestyles in my new saves.
They don't appear in the Simology panel.
When I use “testingcheats”, I can access the cheat menu to add a lifestyle, but the list is empty (see image).
And when I use the code “traits.equip_trait trait_Lifestyles_Workaholic” or any other lifestyle code, nothing happens.

I've looked at old saves, at sims that already had lifestyles, and it still works.
But on my new saves, for all characters and all houses (created or townies), it's impossible to use them (with and without mods).

  • This is empty for you or do you not even have the section ?

Did you try a game repair yet and did you delete the localthumbcache file after removing mods ?

    I don't have this section.

A tried a repair twice : one before the las update and one few years ago, still don't work.

I had completely forgotten about the localthumbcache file, thanks for remind me. I'd just try and still don't work 🙁

I also saw that I no longer had the interaction that costs $100 in the phone to remove a lifestyle.

And I tried importing sims with lifestyles from my library into a new saves. Skills, life stages, everything's there, except lifestyles.

    Thank you for your help.

    Can you try the following

    • Create a backup of your user folder.
    • Close the game and EA app
    • Move the following folder to the desktop: Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\EP10  (that's Snowy Escape) ..  The folder may vary depending on where you install your games but this is default.
    • Open EA app and re-install the pack (don't open the game with the pack not present).
    • Open the game and check if you have them back.
    • If it's all good, you can delete the EP10 folder on your desktop.
    • If it didn't help, report back.

I've just done it, still nothing.
I try each time on a save that already has the bug and create a new one. Nothing on both.

  • Did you do a folder rename yet ?

    If not, try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

You can now start to copy back things from Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old to the new Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder that was created.

First only copy (I suggest to copy so you can go back in case anything goes wrong along the way) the content of the folder Saves (these are your save games). If you are prompted if want to overwrite a save, decide if you want to keep that testing save you just made or not. If not, just overwrite if, if you want to keep it, rename the save to a different number that isn't taken.

Test just your save game with nothing else added back. If that works, you can start copying back the rest. If not, check back.

You will need the following folders

    - Tray (your households and lots you have saved to library)- Custom Music (if you added any)
    - Screenshots (if you've taken any)
    - Videos (if you've taken any)
    - ConfigOverride (if you made any although I recommend redoing those)
    - Options(.ini) (although I recommend to just redo your settings in the game)

Now test again. If that still works, you can put back your mods. Put them back in groups and make sure they are still compatible with the game.

All other files are recreated and not needed.
