Mac - Internet is connected, but Gallery and Grim Rewards telling me to connect

Im having the same issue, except my game hasn't been able to connect to the gallery in MONTHS!! Ive even purchased a cable so im hardwired.. uninstalled. reinstalled, never used mods/cc.. went through a full uninstall guide to make sure EVERYTHING was gone.. reinstalled and still nothing.. my game is unplayable as advertised and IM OVER IT,  I WANT A FULL REFUND FOR ALL THE MONEY I HAVE WAISTED ON THIS GAME!! 

EA really needs to get this fixed. It abandoned Origin on the Mac in favor of a new app and it’s been nothing but issues for me. 

I can’t do the Grim Event, haven’t been able to connect for deliveries or gallery in over 3 months. 

THIS IS A SHOWSTOPPER TO YOUR MAC PLAYERS BECAUSE WE CAN’T PLAY THE GAME WE’VE INVESTED NOT JUST OUR MONEY BUT OUR TIME INTO. 

Dataloss, losing items rightfully earned through events, and general unplayability of the game needs to be rectified. Wanting to participate in events and can’t because of glitches and bugs. 

I am an OG Simmer who has had every game, expansion pack, stuff pack, game pack, and kit for every game since the original came out. 

I have over 1200 hours logged in Sims 4 alone.

For example, it could be that something changed in your firewall or antivirus settings.  This can sometimes happen when there is an update.  Perhaps you just need to add TS4 as an allowed program.  The above thread has a number of other steps to try as well.  Please come back and report if anything works or not.

PS  You can find your installed game's version number in the lower right corner of the main menu.

Nah, because I  recently begun experiencing a similar problem with this new event that I’m participating in. Initially, I was able to collect the rewards, but now I’m encountering an error message stating that it can’t connect. Additionally, I’ve lost access to the gallery feature, which is quite frustrating. To make matters worse, this is a brand new save file because my previous save got corrupted, just like the one before that. In this current save, I’ve managed to build only a couple of houses, an apartment complex, and two businesses. I’m really trying to figure out the exact point at which the game seems to break and corrupt my save data, as it’s becoming overwhelming and this connection issue is not an isolated event, it’s happening to a lot of people including me.

@vicmomma1968   Hello!  Does that mean you tried all the troubleshooting steps in the thread I shared?  At the risk of stating the obvious, have you checked to make sure Online Features are enabled in settings?  Do you use any mods?  If so, have you tried removing them to see if things work properly?

On the screen it has the box to claim some rewards, yet when I click on it it says "Online connection is required. Please go online to save event progress and receive rewards".    My Mac is connected to the internet, and my EA account is signed in.  I never had the problem when claiming previous rewards last week.  I don't know what Im supposed to be doing with this?

Is the Online Social Features Access setting enabled under Settings - Game Options - Other?

Unfortunately those are on and it's still not allowing me to claim.  🤔

I have tried everything the help forums on EA's normal website suggest I do and none seem to be working to reconnect me. I have even restarted my computer a few times and still nothing. 

Also this is probably unrelated but my human sims will not sleep.
