I think this has probably been answered before but i cant find it. I currently have Sims 4 on xbox and a lot of the expansion packs but I really want the mods. Is Mac or Windows PC the best to buy and which computer would you recommend please?
Sims 4 works on either, so to some extent it’s personal preference. I will note, however, that the various re-releases of older sims games in celebration of the anniversary have so far only been on Windows.
Also, just to make sure you are aware before you invest in a computer, your packs will not transfer from console to computer.
But the mods only work on PC? Obviously I’m presuming I will have to rebuy the expansion packs
Mods will work on Mac or PC, yes. I must admit I almost always have at least a bunch of bug fix mods and some infant/toddler cc clothes and toys installed when I’m not in my test saves. Often cc food, too.
I personally like Mac, so generally when asked for a computer recommendation will go with Mac. I feel it lasts longer. But I’m also possibly biased, and if you want to try out the Sims Legacy and MySims packs that released recently, you need to get Windows.
