Re: Give the Sims their cars back

Just buy Realm of Magic and get the teleport spell!

Got to be honest I love fast travel so cars missing doesn't effect me personally but I think I understand why other people love this game which is a reason why I want cars added.

People play this game as a simulation to study or enjoy real life situations and lacking a car that is central to actual real life reduces the quality of the simulation. Most of us spend a lot of time and thought into paying, caring for, fixing, maintaining, and driving our cars so without the car aspect of a life simulation the simulation is incomplete.

That said there is a way to make it look like your lot has cars in it. If you select a toy car in build mode with cheats enabled you can scale up the size of the toy with Shift+] until it's car sized. It's still just a toy car though and can't be driven.

I seen the toy cars but I want to be able to buy them and drive like i have done in previous games. I think when you make different upgrades to game should leave like they were just enhance them. I play the games to unwind and have something to do when my kids are asleep or if I’m having a bad at work I come home to play and calm my nerves.

@jeenaye, yes for realism it would be nice to have cars in the game.  However without an open world there would be  little functionality to having cars in the game.  The TS4 game engine wasn't built to support an open world, so we can't have TS3-style cars in the game.  We could have TS2-style cars in the game though, but with these cars you can only do limited things.  You could sit in them and listen to the radio, go for a drive where your Sim would get in their car and drive off the lot and disappear for a few moments before returning, you could drive them to and from work (which looked a lot like the short drive I just described) , you cold fix them up and sell them , and you could woo hoo in them! 😃

While many people would be satisfied with this, there will still be a lot of people who will expect cars in the game to mean driving in an open world, so they will be very disappointed! 😞

And then there is the problem that not all neighborhoods/towns have streets in them!  For places like Forgotten Hollow that came with the Vampires GP, it would be impossible to have cars! 🤭

Edit: I forgot to mention that in addition to what @OrigAccountSUX said about being able to teleport if you have the Realm of Magic GP, you can also teleport if your Sim has high enough Wellness skill from the Spa Day GP! 😉

There is another way to teleport in Sims 4 that is base game and does not require any game packs. If you enable testingcheats you can do a shift + click on the spot you'd like to teleport to and then click on the "Teleport Here" pop-up bubble and your selected Sim will instantly appear at that spot. I had to use this cheat when a crazy class schedule gave my Sim only 5 minutes to cross the Foxbury campus to get to a class in another building.

I agree that cars would make nice hobby items to tinker with in a driveway to increase Handiness skills and perhaps a cool but brief animation while travelling to a different neighborhood, but that's about it. It would be just like the bicycles but even more limited. At the most you could drive to the end of the street and this is only in the worlds/neighborhoods that actually have roads. As @PugLove888 already mentioned, there just isn't much of anywhere in the Sims 4 worlds to drive to.
