If you aren't playing in Windowed mode, give that a try:
Start the game in Windowed mode:
In Origin - Games Library tab, right-click on Sims 4 and select Game Properties - In the Command Line Arguments, add the following text: -w and click Okay.
Something else you could try is editing your resolution in the Options.ini file.
It's for Sims 3, but it should work for Sims 4.
