Re: New Social Menu Feedback
@DarkWitch1800 I agree, I'm struggling (I'm on console). There is an option in Game Options to turn off grouping social interactions by context, but that's now largely redundant.
It's also caused a bug for some:
Completing social/ work tasks is now much more difficult because interactions have gone or been replaced. It seems that you have to have Growing Together to have back some social interactions we have always had. I've had fails on some of my goals because the interaction was gone.
It's added so much repetitive clicking when I have filed accessibility reports saying this aggravates my disability and causes intense pain. We never had as much repetitive clicking as we do now on console as our controls were recently changed.
It's a missed opportunity to update the social menu in a more practical way by adding more relevant interactions on the first page. There's usually only one or maybe two useful interactions. The rest are things like "Start preposterous rumour" or "Discuss local fishing spots" or various mean/ mischief interactions plus flirty interactions when it's someone your Sim should not or would not flirt with. My Sim just autonomously started a relationship with a happily married woman somehow without me doing anything, in a group chat with new people. It took me ages to find "Ask Just to be friends" to end it. The conversation in my game is now about 75% autonomous since the patch and we've been asking for fixes for these things for years. As I'm searching for the interaction I want, my Sim carries on the conversation automatically on their own and says or does inappropriate things. She got level 2 mischief somehow but I didn't tell her to do anything mischievous.
So unfortunately it's just exacerbated the problems with social interactions and added another problem of clicking through menus trying to find what you want.
I think it's actually fine to split out hobbies/interests and affection, that could have just been added as sections like flirty/mean, etc. But it should IMO have more general friendly interactions on the first 2 pages and not 19 sections. That's 19 sections to search through. I mean, some sections only have 1 thing in them so I don't see any point in that.
