Re: New Social Menu Feedback
I agree with you, and I'm eyerolling too! I think, if everything is in its own subcategory now, then family stuff should go in its own category too, and it should be put it on the second page of options under more choices-->friendly-->more choices, where 'small talk' often ends up, so it's also four clicks deep. Why is 'Small Talk' buried so deep?
Sorry about ranting. Please, EA, put 'small talk' options first in the friendly menu and have more options from it on the first wheel. I also feel as if my game has been wrecked by a sales tactic and feel pressured to buy Growing Together because it might 'fix' things, and the pressure is so egregious I honestly thought the heavy focus on creating family was an oversight and therefore a mistake and a bug.
I play with aging off; the normal game lifespan is not nearly long enough. It takes time for my sims to get into a relationship, it's not just a different life for them but also a different gameplay experience for me. What I'm trying to say is that having a family is an option for some of my family oriented sims, not a lifetime goal for all of them. Most of my sims prefer having a lot of friends, dating, traveling, working, taking long breaks between jobs to go on holidays, and doing fun things with friends. I want my game to reflect this. It's logical to want this, because its also the starting state for sims; before they can start a family, they have to meet someone and get into a relationship. Please make the vibing and living life Small Talk options more accessible and prioritize the family stuff when there's a family.
