- SqueamishNerd3 years agoSeasoned Ace@GiardiniDiMarzo There are quite a few tops and full-body outfits that would show such scars on female sims, on the top of my head I come to think a swimsuit from Perfect Patio Stuff, but I know there are several more
- Willonne3 years agoRising Traveler@GiardiniDiMarzo It doesn't matter to me that the scars are not visible because of the bra. It matters to me that I don't have the option to select the scar period. A modder extracted the scars for female sims in a matter of minutes so it can be done. I don't want to play with the mod because I want to share the sim and her story on the gallery. The devs need to address this and fix it. Thank you for your comments though. I appreciate the conversation on the topic.
- Willonne3 years agoRising Traveler@SqueamishNerd Thank you for responding. Hopefully they will make the scars selectable soon.

@Willonne Did you get a chance to try the male with the female frame and use She/Her Pronouns. And perhaps use the scar then? as that completely gets rid of the breasts/bra and allows the scar to be placed like so: (credit to @mzda_grl for picture)
- Willonne3 years agoRising Traveler@gooochyeee No, I didn't bother because I really wanted to do this with a cis/female. It was a creative option and I appreciate your sharing. I really want EA to fix this. Thank you again for trying to help.
- gooochyeee3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Willonne I know what you mean, ive been pushing to get the c-section scar for men too

@gooochyeee Some women get breast implants after breast cancer surgery. Also, the male rig with female frame doesn't look the same as the female rig with female frame, and male and female sims have different body language, so, depending on what type of sim one wants to create, it's not always the best option to go with the other rig and pick the preferred frame instead. Especially since the pronoun settings are only available when the game is installed in English, none of the other languages have been given the pronoun settings yet (which, btw, causes problems on its own, as in not being able to see or change a sim's name in CAS if they have a customised pronoun in a non-English game, as seen with Jay Robles from Growing Together, couldn't find a bug report on it though).
Btw, here's a thread on gender limitations in TS4 (it sprung out of the new pronoun settings, but is about gender in general).

Here are some examples of clothes where I'm quite sure top surgery scars will show (the last three are meshed for the male rig, so they look a little wonky, especially the side-profile, but they're still available, so I added them as examples anyway). I'm sure there are more, I just quickly scrolled through everything in CAS to find some examples.
I also want to add that breast implants also would give scars, so there are many reasons why these scars should be available for female sims too.
- gooochyeee3 years agoSeasoned Ace@SqueamishNerd Also the simtimates collection kit (if you take off the tag) with a open shirt (not too open) trousers combo
- Willonne3 years agoRising Traveler@SqueamishNerd I really appreciate your time in posting these. They need to give us those scars by just enabling the tag. That is a simple update that does not require much from EA.
- @Willonne I totally agree with you, and I hope the change is made. And although I applaud and appreciate the efforts of the people suggesting the maleframe/female pronoun workaround, I want to respectfully say that transitioning men and transitioning women are not the same, and that breast cancer survivors are definitely not the same as trans men or trans women. I can totally understand that having to use a work around wrecks the immersion; it would for me, too. Furthermore, female frames should be getting the same attention to detail as male frames, not just for immersion, but because it's the right thing to do.

I really appreciate your comment and thoughtful stand on this issue. Thank you!
- SqueamishNerd3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Crayola4321 I totally agree, and it also goes in the other direction, sims with the male rig should be getting the same attention to detail as sims with the female rig. As of now the c-section scar can be used for sims with the female rig, but not sims with the male rig. There's a separate post on this one, just wanted to mention it.
Btw, just want to add that I can be good to separate between female/male rig and female/male frame, to not confuse the devs of what we're talking about (has happened before specifically in the case of male/female rig and frame). The rig is the base body, where the male one has a flat chest and the female one has a full chest, while the frame is the feminised/masculinised alteration of the rig. The chest scars are available for the male rig and not the female rig, the c-section scar is available for the female rig and not the male rig. So sims with the male rig can have the chest scars, no matter if they have a male or female frame, and sims with the female rig can have the c-section scars, no matter if they have a female or male frame, so it's the rig that sets the limitation of these two scars, not the frame
