No matter how many times I plant flowers and which sim I do it with, it doesn't count towards my challenge. I deleted everything from the mod folder - that doesn't change anything.

Mmm nope, not using Steam. Have the same issue tho :(
I am having the same problem, but in the EA App. I took out my mods, restarted the app, replanted for the fourth time a snapdragon and lily and the tasks are not being completed.
Editing to add: Repaired my game, cleared EA app cache, ran the game without mods again and I can't open the rewards UI, and the Snapdragon and Lily not being recognized as planted is also still happening.

Same here. I’ve planted a Lily and Snapdragon twice for the “Assistant to the Grim Reaper” challenge in Reaper’s Rewards. Both fully grown and harvestable and it doesn’t tick off.
Topic states that it's been solved. Right... It has not been solved. I'm still waiting for it to be fixed. Can't even post on that one anymore...
I have the same issue.
I have the same issue with the tasks "Plant a Lily" and "Plant a Snapdragon". I planted them in a sheltered location. My Sim is a level 10 gardener. I am unable to move forward with the next task.
Mine have ticked off but my newsletter one isnt
