Romance Glitch

I got Lovestruck EP right when it came out, everything was working perfectly. Then they came out with another update, and suddenly my couples don’t like each other anymore. I can still use romance actions on them but it does not increase their relationship. My sims are always sad, so I started using a relationship cheat. The more I’ve had to use it, the faster it will go back to zero or red. I play on ps4, so I don’t have any mods or CC. I only use money and build cheats, other than that, my game should be completely clean. It’s very frustrating. 

does anyone know how to troubleshoot this? I’m scared to reset my game, and lose everything.
