Sim household not loading

Hey fellow simmers,

I am having an issue where I click "play" on my household and that does not load my household. Instead it brings me to the world screen where I can then choose which world I'd like to play. 

I restarted the game, restarted my computer, checked for upgrades, checked for new updates on the sims 4, repaired this game, nothing was working.

I then disabled all my mods, disabled the mods in the Sims 4, moved the mods out of the mod folder that I'm using, got fed up and deleted them all together, restarted my computer, repaired the sims 4 again just to be sure, made an additional new household, made sure the individual pack toggle wasn't on, and here I am annoyed that I can not play a game that I've been playing since it first came out.

Games break and need to be updated, it happens; but when EA ignores gamers requests and are too lazy to create another sims game and actually try to make something better; this is basically a final straw for me. If it can't be fixed, I'm done. I know I'm ranting at this point and may get some hate for this but I don't care. When the CEO comes out and says they're gonna focus on giving gamers what they want instead of creating a new Sims game, what we want is to have a game that runs smoothly. Not a half a$$ed pack that comes out with little to no content in it and is not updated properly before the next content is rolled out. 

Sigh sorry, rant over. If anyone can please help with this I'd be grateful.
