Sims 4 Babies
To all, I would like to raise an issue to the developers of The Sims 4 in the hope that this will be changed. The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 are both games which we would agree are older games, implying...
@Jordyforlife2020 I'm all in with you on this one! Sims 4 babies are completely boring and disappointing to play in comparison with the past Sims versions. But ...thank God I've never run into the glitchy stuff with them in Sims 4... In Sims 2 I remember many times where an interactive glitch between other Sims and the baby or due to the Sim being tired or otherwise wigged out would cause them to would leave the baby on the ground or refuse to pick it up or freeze up in place, etc. That was traumatizing and just not right. But... I still would like babies that have some more personality/interactive nuance and benefits than they have now in 4 currently. Babies in Sims 4 need some coding love! 💗
@Jordyforlife2020 , we don't yet know if EA is going to upgrade babies in The Sims 4. It is possible, especially since they have stated that they plan on making new things for TS4 for a good while.
I am in what is likely a unique position regarding upgraded babies. I don't feel it has to be done (because that life-stage is so short), but I know if they do it that I would end up loving it! 🤣🥰 Especially if they gave us strollers for both infants and toddlers, and maybe one of those baby swings that also play music! 😍
@SheriGR , I am wondering if the glitch you mentioned from previous versions of the game might be why they haven't made babies not be objects so far. It could end up being very glitchy , much like the toddler high chair! 😱😈
Also I know that with Sims 2 and Sims 3 the babies would sometimes get stuck on their parents' or caretakers' hands and then they would go to cook and the resulting visuals would be a bit disturbing! 😰
@PugLove888 Agree, agree, agree! And despite the trauma if things went wonky, learning to juggle the spit-up in the face consequence was a skill in-and-of itself, and I just adored the laughing, noo-boo cooing, giggles, sweetness of the baby interactions in Sims 2 (and even in one)! 💗 👶🏼
@SheriGR , 100%!!!! There is something about the voice acting in the Sims 2 and especially the Sims 1 that I just love!!!!💖 And you are right about how sweet the baby interactions were in TS2! You could zoom in your camera really close too and get great pics of the family taking care of the baby! 🥰
Yes, it was difficult to figure out the patterns of the babies, but once you got it down, it wasn't so bad! That spit-up, while gross, was a nice realistic touch! 😅
