Sims 4 expansion won't appear on Origin, says I never bought it

Hello, so I bought the Sims 4 Vampire expansion while it was on sale. I bought it with PayPal and received my receipt through email not long after. The email said it could take a few minutes for the product to appear in my library. The expansion didn't download as soon as I bought it, which was already weird, but now the expansion is not showing up on my game library, nor is it showing up in my expansions or add ons when I click on Sims 4 it's self. I look up the product, and there's no option for me to install it, to repurchase it as though I didn't already spend money on it. When I go into the game, it's self, the content isn't there but it says I already own the expansion in the game.

Can anyone help me, please?

I'm under the impression you purchased this directly through the Origin store. When you go to your Order History on your Origin account do you still see it there as a completed transactions? No need to post a screenshot.

If you do not see it there, I'd check your PayPal account to see if they refunded/cancelled the purchase.

Yes! Forgot to clarify I bought it through Origin.

The expansion does appear in my order history with an order number, and the payment has gone through on my PayPal with no refund.

That's the problem. :-( The content doesn't show when I click on 'extra content.' When I look it up in the Origin store it appears as though I never bought it, even though the transaction went through. Content doesn't appear in the game either. Should I try to get a refund perhaps?

I used to, but I have since deleted and disabled all of my mods.

It sounds game file related. Try right-clicking on The Sims 4 in Origin and select "repair." If that doesn't get the content to pop up for you in game, I recommend reinstalling the game and make sure The Sims 4 base game is installed first to avoid any issues.

I tried to, but then it said it was unable to repair because of connection issues which make no sense because my connection is excellent. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall, but now I can't even install the game because it's giving me the same connection issues. I uninstalled Origin then reinstalled it, but nothing's changed.

  • I’ve never been able to see my list of games in origin.  I’ve mentioned it many times when dealing with someone over the phone but we can never fix it.  I’ve given up since it doesn’t hurt anything with gameplay.  I use PayPal to purchase...I’ve often wondered if that’s why.

I show ZERO games owned.  I own every single one. (Except Halloween).
