"very awkward encounter" when witnessing friends' engagement.

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cool Kitchen SP, Fitness SP
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? have two Sims get engaged in the presence of their friends.
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims who witness the engagement show "very uncomfortable encounter" in the overhead box.
What do you expect to see? a positive conversation.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

maybe this is because the about-to-be engaged Sims were dragged into a conversation, as it (sometimes) automatically happens when two Sims chat near others. after the two Sims got engaged, "very awkward conversation" showed for all Sims involved. all of these Sims are friends. so i think they should have kept the positive conversation going, maybe even got a special moodlet after witnessing the event, and be able to congratulate the couple. and the engaged Sims could share their happiness with them.

i'm posting here just in case--but if it's not a bug, and it hasn't been changed in expansions i do not own, could it be considered feedback?

    Doesn’t sound like a bug.

    When two sims get engaged I think it triggers a flirty moodlet and elevates the conversation between them to suggestive, amorous or steamy. If there are other sims in group conversation when this happens it will become very awkward, as expected. The other sims are cramping their style, so to speak. The couple will want to be alone to continue their romantic conversation. The others will not want to hear sexy talk. Hence, awkward.

    oh... you might be right. i think i have seen this when two Sims flirt with each other and there are others in group conversation.

    i honestly can't remember what these Sims' conversation "level" was at, but before the proposal they were having a deep conversation, as one should. haha. maybe we could see them have a "serious conversation" instead of the allegedly steamy one. 😉

     i never noticed that proposing triggered a flirty moodlet. the couple was simply happy. so that might be why i considered it a bug. idk, maybe i'm just asking for something really specific. like have the friends clap or celebrate. i mean, they could use something similar to the birthday animation. 😉

    Also don't think this is a bug as they are romantic interactions which cause that moodlet.
