What do sims lose when moved to your library?

My current Sims save has been extra buggy lately and so I’m strongly considering saving my played families to the library and creating a new save. I’m currently playing a legacy save so I have a family with family members living in different households (for instance, my one sim’s dad is in a different household from her since she’s an adult), and I have friendships I’d like to keep.  I’d also like to keep my sims’ career and skill progress as much as possible.

My question is, what do you actually lose when you save families to the Library and start a new save with them?

  • You lose everything not immediately part of the household in CAS. All relationships- friend, family, or foe - that are outside of the household will be gone. You might be able to reconnect sims with cheats but the more of them there are the more complex that will be. You also lose inventory.

Traits, age, looks, and skills will transfer, along with relationships that are within the household.
