Which expansion pack is the most worth getting

Hi all,

I am looking to buy one or two expansion packs during the next sale. I can't decide whether I should get the seasons, city living or get to work expansion pack. I would really love your opinions on which one(s) I should get.

Also does anyone know how low the prices normally are during sales?

I am sort of leaning towards city living because it adds features like rent and landlords I also don't really know what seasons includes but it sounded fun.

Seeing as there will be a sims 5 coming out soon I don't want to buy anything that I wont still want to play because I hate the idea of playing a game just a bit then playing the next version.

@elulu8, I'm so glad you got City Living!  I really love that pack! 😇
I would definitely get Seasons next!!!! ❤️🥳 Like I stated before, I never have ran into anybody who didn't like it, and most love it! 🙌 The ability to create your own holidays as well as delete or alter existing ones gives you a lot of control  You can adjust the season length on 3 different settings too!  Seasons also will be a bit different in some towns like in Oasis Springs the winters are milder and the summers are much hotter, and it rains less there usually.

Get Famous is my least favorite pack for gameplay, though it has some great items both in CAS and Buy/Build Mode.  (But some of my favorite items are costumes that are locked behind the acting career, and in some cases I just want to use them in other saves where I don't have an actor, and since there is not cheat for these items in CAS, we can only unlock them through the acting career. )  There are 3 main styles of items in Get Famous.  An elegant style, a modern trendy style , and the Mid-Century Modern style.🙂

If you love a new world that is big, then Get Together is a great choice!  It has the biggest town/world out of all the packs! 😎 That town is called Windenburg.   (You can read earlier posts where I describe the Club system).  Also, if you love the Tudor style of architecture, than this is the pack for you.  Most builders love this pack!  🙌

You can also re-read earlier posts for what everyone said about Seasons and Dine Out! 😇

    Update for pictures!

Get Famous: My Sim getting her hair done for a scene.  Unfortunatly the hair and my fellow-actor's costume are locked behind the career, although the outfit she is currently wearing is available in CAS!

Here are the Goths at a restaurant from Dine Out!  I don't recall where Cassandra is!

Get Together's club called Knights of the Hedge (they play chess and go through the hedge maze for fun) are conversing with the one of the Ghosts that resides at the Von Haunt Estate where this club likes to meet.

Thunderstorm from Seasons.  Sometimes after a lightning strike hits the ground, a piece of metal, crystal, or element is left behind!

Seasons' Summer evening with toddler cooling off. All ages can use this pool to cool off!

Building snowpals in Seasons!  You can't tell, but the snow sparkles in the the sunlight!

House decorated for Harvest Day, while a Vampire does a Harvest day activity of pleasing Gnomes!  (Leaf piles have been cleaned up - sorry!)

    A Summer outfit

Child and umbrella versus a windy day!

    Winterfest, chatting with Clement Frost!

Sim was tending to her garden and bees, and got too cold (didn't have her cold weather clothes on) and the bees attacked her! You can actually see some leaves on the ground and colored leaves in the background!
