Why does my trash can say pick up when it's not on the ground?

While playing The Sims 4, I encountered an issue with the outdoor trash can. After attempting to throw the trash in my picked-up trash can, I found that I was unable to do so. Upon clicking on the trash can, it said that I needed to pick it up, which seemed weird because the trash can was already standing up. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced this issue, or if it's just me due to a potential problem with one of my mods. Thanks

    The trash can says Pick Up because somebody kicked it over and it hasn't been picked back up since then. It looks like it got picked up, even though it hasn't, because you left the lot while it was kicked over and that's how it loads back in when you return to the lot. I suppose it's a bug, but it's such a minor one I've never bothered with reporting it.

    The other thing that will cause it to happen is if you have MOO on when you place it and get it too close to the house.  When it gets kicked, it doesn't fall over and looks just the same as if it hadn't been kicked.  Your household sims can still use it that way, so you don't know most of the time that you did that until it does get kicked.   I don't think you have that situation judging from your pic though.
