Will we ever get a fix for the cooking system in the Sims 4?

Cooking has become abysmal and hard to deal with as a player. I click on the fridge or other item and select the cook option for my Sim to cook any meal and the menu takes almost 90 seconds to open. I love all that we can cook and all the recipes in this game but has it become too much.
