The family I'm playing has a club, just with family remembers and their spouses in it. The father has just aged up to elder, and I would like for him to pass leadership to his eldest son. Is there a way I can do this?

I just figured this out this week. It's actually REALLY REALLY easy and never fails. You play as the sim who is currently the leader, then do "club > resign from club" to the sim you want to be the new leader. Your leader will quit the club completely and leadership will pass over to that sim you were talking to. Probably best to make sure those two sims are the only sims in the conversation. Then if you want your old leader to still be in the club, just not as leader, they can rejoin as a regular member. I've tried this three times and it worked perfectly every time.What *doesn't* work is if your leader just quits the club without resigning to another sim. Don't do that. I've had clubs stuck without a leader at all that way.

Play as the club member you want to be the new leader and talk to the current one. (You may have to talk to the other club members too and get their approval first, I forget some of the details.) You can eventually convince the leader through club-specific dialogue to give leadership over to you. This is how you can join a pre-made club and eventually gain control over it.

If you want leader to hand over the leadership, he must leave the club and rejoin again. The leader ship will go to the sim who is next to him in club members panel.

How can my Sim become the leader of a NPC club? I've tried talking down the leader but not sure what to do next. I got a few on my Sim's side so far but not sure what comes next.

I think if you get enough club members on your side, you get a dialogue option with the leader to ask for the spot yourself. I think they can still choose not to but I had no trouble when I tried it.

every body you just become good friends with the leader and then you will have the option to ask him to step down as leader and the person asking to takeover will take over...
