I did this and I didnt get the options to edit in Cas.... confusion - thissagesimmerNew SpectatorDo you have a list of all of the cheats?
- Well, you could edit them in CAS by doing the cheat testingcheats true and then cas.fulleditmode and then shift-clicking on your sim to Modify in CAS, but people have been saying that it screws up relationships... so I guess we just have to wait for a patch? :\
- It's sad that cheats are needed for a very basic game function. I hope that the fix is in a future patch NOT a EP.
- Just patched the new patch did they "fix" the relationship bug by taking out the cas.fulleditmode ability? I had my sims married but didn't change the name just saved and was going to do it today and can't seem to do it now.
- alanmichael1Seasoned HotshotUm, at least in Germany A LOT of people keep their names after marrying. Perhaps this is not a bug but just going with modern times :D .

But you have at least the option to change them how you like it, you can even have double name like for example the husband lastname is Schmidt and the brides lastname is Mueller, they can choose which one they will take or they can even decide to have them both like this Mrs. Schmidt- Mueller.
You can even decide to take a whole new name if you want to, like they call them instead Mueller or Schimdt they call them now Fischer. Really if they add this in the Game it would be awesome. But no option given is just plain and simple plum (yeah i used plum).
Edit
I see this is already really old news lol....
Also btw i did already ask about this and they actually working on it, yes they are working on it, not look into it lol.
Read in this thread, we can close this case lol :p

There's a workaround. I can't remember right now if I had to have Origin online or not -- I think I had it off -- but anyway, here it is:
Ctrl-Shift-C
testingcheats true
Shift-Click on your Sim and choose "Modify in CAS"
This takes you to CAS, where you can change the name.
You can also change the household name by going to Manage World. There's no cheat involved in this one. Just choose the family and change the household name.
I was successful in changing the wife's name, the child's name, and the household name using these methods.
I've tried this but it said "Cannot edit and existing sim" or something like that..Had same affect while managing household.
After enabling full edit mode with the above cheat codes I went in to CAS by clicking on a dresser. Then I clicked on my sims name in the upper left hand corner. Was able to change my sims last name. No offense to women who don't take their spouses last name, but I prefer to. :)"AndyBrains;13342092" wrote:
Is changing the last name in CAS the only option?
So far it's the only one I know...Sadly to this day I still have to rename my simmers who are newly wedded in game. It's a bit of a pain sometimes.
