Off The Grid Lot Challenge appears to be broken?
I have been experimenting with the off the grid lot challenge in a vanilla save. I pulled all mods and cc yesterday before the update and reset my Sims 4 folder. I have not added mods or cc back in. First I tried to use an off the grid compatible stove by giving it the fuel cell upgrade. With the upgrade a stove off the grid should function the same as a normal stove with all recipes available from both the cook off the grid interaction as well as the regular cook, cook gourmet meal, and bake interactions as long as the stove is fully fueled with either biofuel from the bug farm or bits/pieces from the recycler machine. Mine was, but alas it did not work. My sim would start to cook and then the action would stop, when I tried to select resume it gave the tool tip "power doesn't work off the grid". I replied to the AHQ thread about it linked in my sig and went to bed, this was last night.
So today I decided a different approach. I bought a generator, placed it on my lot and fueled it with biofuel from my bug farms. Not only did the stove not work, nothing worked. No lights, no tv, nothing. Now admittedly I haven't played TS4 for a couple of months, and I haven't used OTG for longer than that, but I am sure with a generator that is fueled and running I should be able to operate normal non OTG items on the lot, no? I am I wrong or did this feature break?
ETA: I added like 12 generators to the lot and the feature finally worked lamps, tv, stove etc worked. But once I removed all the generators everything still has power? So now even though off the grid is still turned on the lot is behaving like it's on the grid. I went to manage worlds and reloaded the lot, I exited and re-entered the game, I traveled, nothing changed.
