Whats Broke Now

I can confirm the chess bug, happened to me yesterday, and some doors and windows from Get Together are broken, too. The latter is especially annoying for me because I need those doors to keep filming my series. Homework is not broken for university students at least, can't say anything about kids.

Plum, I should really have known better! I saw that there was an update coming the other day, but it didn't happen automatically because I was in a game session. Then I looked at the patch notes and thought: "Oh, just a few little things, what can go wrong?" And so I restarted Origin... I had the chance to avoid this update of doom, but I didn't. How could I be so naive?? :D

I would love to get rid of that water bug... that thing is freakin annoying.

My sim, canceled her trip to bed to get a glass of water. She managed to get her hands on a glass full before I caught her. I canceled the water and re-assigned her to go to sleep.

That didn't work well.

The glass of water left the queve.... but not her hands. She got in bed (which lasted about 5 seconds) - her arm went flashy/blinky, then she got out of bed again. She refused to sleep while holding the glass of water.... which she refused to let go of.

Being that there wasn't anything left in the queve to cancel... that glass of water was apparently hers for life. I had to exit the game, and re-enter to fix the issue.

In other news.....

I had a food bug with the macaroni and cheese from the cauldron. (world of Sulani). Sims would start eating the plate of food, the need gauge would increase until full... but.... the plate of food wouldn't diminish in portion size. The line for the food usage in the queve panel would stop at 3/4 and freeze there.... causing the sim to eat the same plate of food without ending. I would have to cancel the plate of food in the queve... wait for the sim to put the plate down, then click "clean up"... or drag to garbage.

Did I mention that I hate the water bug?

It is clear to say that the game wasn't tested by the team when the patch was released :|

You would think that the team would know after 6 years that if you are going to add a pack that changes so many xml files, that they have to check so that they are all working properly afterwards. Not a single developer have a sim that plays chess or is a freelancer apparently.

More bugs, just so people can play Star Wars.

I've seen this before, with Sims trying to sleep when something is stuck to their hand, but with an empty plate instead of a glass. Incredibly annoying.

Resetting them using testing cheats worked for me.
That said, you should be able to play without having to fall back on testing cheats at all.

I get that frequently.

It seems to be an issue with the autonomy system itself, because i have similar issues with cooking food and no other orders in the queue, and because i got a basketball court outside, the autonomy drops the cooking and tries to make the sim go shoot some hoops. it's the same with painting or tinkering at the robotics workstation, anything that requires a little longer than usual and the order is cancelled half way through by the autonomy to do something ridiculous.

it is often irritating.

Edit: the food bug i've encountered before with restaurant food from dine out. it works part of the time, i've noted in my case having a vase full of flowers on the table nearby causes the issue, after i removed that from the table it stopped being an issue.

CC windows are also all broken since the windows update :s

This happens to me all of the time too. :/ I try not to let them cook in that cauldron right now. Furthermore, at least in my game, after the cauldron was emptied of mac and cheese, I had my sim brew a needs potion. Animations looked like potions, clicking and put all the potions in their inventory worked fine, checked inventory and it was... 4 servings of mac and cheese! *facepalm* After that it worked normally again but to pile onto the never ending eating of the mac and cheese bug, I can add this to my list. It seems to be only the potions made directly after mac and cheese affected.

I think we are now seeing the effect of Lock Down with the game's quality. The QA Team must have a hard time adjusting the most in this. Wish thins would get better in the future
