Broken and Updated Sims 4 Mods and CC: patch 1.122, March 17, 2026 and hotfixes

The patch for the "Failed to Launch"/all-black main menu error that was affecting some CC users is now out. I believe (though have not confirmed) that this will also clear things up for those of you who could load but some of your CC was missing in the CAS catalogue.

Fun fact! This error affected only "2% of players using specific types of custom content, under certain circumstances." (No, I don't know what those are!)

If you still have “Failed to Launch”:

• If you have ReShade, try updating that.
• If you don’t have ReShade but do have other mods that install somewhere other than the Mods folder, please dry removing those.
• If you have none of those and removing the Mods folder doesn’t solve your issue, head to Bug Reports.

If you have a black screen with words on it or similar issues, you’re in the right thread! Use the “Broken” and “Updated lists.
