I'm hearing this is due to a mod I can't really name here.
Are you guys using that ? If so, please remove it.

I can't name the mod here. I'm sorry. Just go throught them and make sure you update everything that's needed
My doors are missing too and it's not mood related because I don't any cc or moods installed, hopefully they will figure it out
I have removed the only mod i have and it is still not working, not sure what else i can do

HI no i haven't saved the game at all but now lots of other things i have downloaded have also disappeared

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Every expansion minus Island Living, every pack minus strangerville, every stuff pack minus cool kitchen, luxury party, spooky stuff, and toddler stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to a residential lot and check for missing doors, as well as trying to place a door to see script error.
What happens when the bug occurs? No door can be placed on a wall and all previous ones have disappeared.
What do you expect to see? Original doors placed back where they were and the ability to add doors again. I haven't saved since before the update so hopefully the original ones will reappear after a fix.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

that is a known issue from the mod called <Adult mod>, so 100% mod related.
I had the same issue, Basemental was updated and I updated the version I had and that fixed the issue with placing doors. Except I can't replace my apartment front door because it "outside the owned area."

Do you mind giving me an idea of what mod it is? I’m having the same problem
I have moved all my mods to the desktop, deleted the thumbnail and yet, I can't place any of my doors again. This problem only occures in my newest savegame - which happens to be the one I would love to keep on playing. What else can I try? Is it a windows 7 issue?

Does not work for me. Deleted all mods and thumbnail, tried vanilla game and still I can't place any doors, and now that all my mods are gone I can't even teleport my sims out of the house...so what can I do?
This issue is caused by some adult mods. I cannot name them here as we can't talk about mods that raise the rating of the game at AHQ.
EA does not officially support mods/cc and you're always using them at your own risk. They will not fix this issue. You need to get the updated version of the mods or remove them.
If you have further issues, please try the suggestion below.

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
I spent all day trying to find the broken mod causing the door thing and I found it was the <removed mod name> sorry if I’m not meant to say that for some reason but thought it’ll help

Ok, I followed the instructions, made a backup, got a fabric setting game, loaded in the saves - and it is still not working. Still I can't place doors. Also tried to repair, no effect. I have a gaming computer, so it's not an issue of old hardwear. Any other suggestions?
Sorry, I really looked forward to this update as I am mainly building, and I am getting pissed off.
Edit: Tried some things and suddenly works again, but don't ask me how...what an exhausting update. Thanks for the tipps and the time you invest to help other people^^.

Man, I tried doing both methods but none of them worked and this is starting to irritate me. I want to put up my doors because I can’t go inside my house or even outside.
@simmisammi98 The mod rhymes with basemental pugs. cant say it here but hopefully you get what i am saying. If you got to the modders page he explains how it has removed all doors and computers from the last patch. 🙂

Delete any adult mods you might have then redownload them. That's what the problems was with me. If you're worried about having to take the time to download back every little thing that was added onto the adult mod then just copy the add-ons to a flash then just delete and redownload the main mod. Hope this helps. if you still aren't sure what to do the hmu.
