@daikoyu I did try repairing the game already but without changing the name of the Sims folder. Is this the one in My Documents or the one in Programms? Either way, I shall try it out later. So, if it should work, copying my save and tray folder will guarantee that all of my progress is saved, right?

    Yep, it should be ... C:\Users\<yourusername>\Documents\Electronic Arts

    Yes, your progress is in your saves (as...Slot_00000007.save) and your date from library is .. (randomnumber!.bpi - household - etc.) as long you back up these things you building/households are safe. Please report back if it worked for you (or not)
