If you have any Basemental mods, they typically come with a ‘Basemental-Venue-List’ package file. Deleting that file fixed the issue for me.
Hi @emilyisapenguinn If you did this, you can go get the updated version 🙂 Both Zerbu's and Basemental's venue mods have been updated.

This happened with the updated venue list as well

If you have any career mods, check those too. When mine didn't work, I got rid of all of my venue mods, but it was still broken, then I read somewhere that some career mods also have venue changes in them. I removed all of my career mods. It worked after that.

@emilyisapenguinn Have you tested without your Mods folder? Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.
