I just hopped on my Xbox One to check out the most recent updates and found that every single save file has been deleted. All downloaded content, thousands of hours of world-building and gameplay over the years - gone. What is this nonsense? Can they even attempt to fix this or am I permanently deleting this game? I’m pissed off beyond belief.
This happened to me too. I updated last week but didn't actually try to play until today. When I loaded in the whole game had reset. I even had to agree to terms and conditions again. Ten years of game play gone.
Exact same thing happened to me. I am beyond pissed. I just played a few days ago, when I opened the game it was still in the last household i played. I was prompted to restart my game so I did and everything updated then I see that all of my saves are gone. Generations and years of playing these households gone.

This happened to me too. What I found worked was un-installing the game and then installing it back again. That got all of my saves back because it was downloaded to the cloud. That still doesn't solve the problem of it doing the same thing everytime you close out of the game.
Me too. But now it won't even load. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I reset the XBox to factory settings. It now just shuts down about half way thru loading. What a miserable experience. Do they want us to actually BUY the new disaster of the Grim Reaper experience ??.
this happened to me as well. when i loaded it up it made me recheck my user agreement and readjust my screen then when i loaded in, everything was gone. that was probably about a week ago. i made a family and got them into a house. haven’t touched the game again until today for the new update and they did the same **bleep** thing AGAIN. hundreds of dollars i’ve spent on this game and this is the thanks i get. absolutely unbelievable.

Same with me. It won't even load all the way anymore. I thought it was my console, But ALL other Non-EA games are still working fine.... what a disastrous Roll Out. And an Insult that they won't address it !!!
This happened in my game too! I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game but all my saves are still gone. I can’t believe this happened, so much progress just gone. 😭
I just opened a new EA Profile and a new Microsoft account and the game works.... all the packs I bought are active BUT I'm starting from scratch on EVERYTHING! All my Sims are gone... fooey
