Do you mean when you've created L shaped stairs, to adjust the length that way? To adjust the height of custom staircases, you'll select this arrow with your cursor and hold the X button. You can then drag and move the stairs as you like to the adjusted height.
Look at the attached picture. I want to make the stairs shorter so it can fit there but I don’t know how. So it is normal stairs and not L shaped stairs I need help with.
You cant make stairs shorter they fit according to height they require a certain amount of space sometime making the wall height the shortest will obviously make the stairs take up less space
But on YouTube they could do this ( look at file) and I can’t so I don’t get what the problem is. Btw I have the exact same layout on the house.
@CoolaMilo123 looking at your picture you haven't left a space in front i think your wall height is different it should be on short wall your stairs should take up 3 squares not 4

I tried to follow what you said and… It worked! I had medium walls but I needed short walls. I feel so stupid but thank you so much!
