Toddlers won't eat Sims 4

I play on Xbox One s and it is updated often as soon as one comes out, I cannot use mods so I am on console and I don't know what cc is so I don't know what might be causing it I've tried turning on and off the anatomy like Google says and it's done nothing they just grab the food go to sit down and eat and then instead of eating the food the plate disappears and they are playing around with their hands sitting there starving and throwing tantrums
