[XB/PS] DLC pop-up stuck on screen

I'm using an Xbox,i can't do that.

I'm having the same issue except my controller can't interact with the pop-up so the only way to close it is to restart the game.

But doing that freezes the game.

Okay so for people who are experiencing this, the only thing that I got to"fix" it was disconnecting the Internet and loading into the game with it un attached to the ea account.

Whatever happened did infact back itself up using my account.

But I don't know how long this "fix" will last.

Whatever is going on,is triggered by pop-ups,the sins delivery, the event, and the "here's what's new" DLC welcomes have all caused the home screen to freeze and not move.

I would love to know what happened if anyone has any clue please let me know.

How to recreate, 

( Uninstall game, delete all info, even back up, have ea account linked, install at least one game DLC,run game,set up "family" save, exit game,re enter game.

Welcome screen will have the" welcome to x pack here's what's New " pop up. 

First sign bug is present,( you will not be able to remove the pop-up it will block the screen) either press Start or simply exist the game and re enter to trigger controller lock, game unusable bug.)

I'm on Xbox so there's no cc or mods, I can't access those things,i haven't tried to do anything with the files because I can't.

The worst part is that uninstalling the game doesn't even fix the problem if i don't completely delete its data from everywhere.

I'm worried it's corrupting the saved content on my EA account.

A bit of note this didn't happen before the update after I finished the cozy celebrations Event.

If anyone knows a fix please let me know I've been looking forward to playing life and death and I just bought it.

I can't give pictures i can't begin to understand how they would help,as to you they would just look like the home screen.

I don't know if it will help but the issue fixes itself temporarily if I put the Xbox in "offline mode" so the game is not receiving Internet.

But as soon as I link it again the controller becomes unusable again.

I'm New here and on Mobile I posted like this because I literally can't figure out how to do it any other way.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place,if you can move it please do that instead of removing it,i really want this bug to be made public because I currently can't use the game at all, and I want to know if anyone has found a fix.

I'm having the same issue, but on Xbox i bought the new reaper game pack and can't use it at all because I am stuck on the home page.

I don't know how to report something to ea.

I also noticed that the "welcome to" DLC pop ups and Sims delivery pop ups seem to trigger it.

As you can't touch them at all the cursor goes behind them, making you restart the game for every single dlc you have so the"welcome goes away.

And the freeze happens as soon as it finishes.

I am trying to play sims 4 on my PS4 and for some reason when I start the game up, the pack information panels won't go away. I tried to create a new game and when I did the panels were still there. I've tried to restart the game and my PS4 but nothing is working 

In addition, this box pops up every minute or two even when I hadn’t downloaded any new content

The main menu on my sims game is completely glitched. The packs introductions keep popping up as though I have just purchased them and they wiping go away. Each time I load my game, a new pack pops up. When I press the circle button on my controller, it does not go away and I can control my screen behind the pop up. I can see my screen moving and responding to my controller in the background. I play on a PS5 and I obviously don’t have any mods or CC. My game is updated, my console is updated, I restarted the console several times and I deleted and redownloaded the game already. The game is glitched.

So I’m playing on PS5 and bought a bunch of packs. First start up game ran smooth. I close app and hop back on and this pop up won’t go away at the menu. It’s the popup that says welcome to "pack" and its details. I can control the background but it won’t go away till i actually choose a map to play on and when im in the world. Main menu and creation stays bugged. I’ve looked all over for a solution but can’t find one. I’ve deleted and cleared cache but after I close app it messes up again. And after clearing cache scenarios isn’t available. So I can’t even see the scenarios.

Just a note that this is happening on my Series X as well.

I just came back to The Sims after a very long period of time away. I cleared all my save data to have a fresh start and this had made the problem worse - as I own nearly all of the DLC packs.

- Hitting the B button allows me to navigate in the background but I cannot find a way to close the popup.

- It is indeed a different one each time, but it takes so long to open the game up from closing it that - as a previous user said - it's going to take a long time to get through these.

SOLUTION/WORKAROUND

I did just try plugging in a mouse - and when I do that, I get an 'X' on the top right corner of the notification box that wasn't there before. Using this, I can go through them and close them as I normally should be able to.
