Can´t open my EA app

Hey! I play the sims on my macbook air and i downloaded the game a couple years back and I haven´t really had any major problems. But today my EA app wont open and this is the message i got. 

You cannot open "EA app" because it may be damaged or incomplete. 

But it dosent say what i can do too fix it. 

Does any of you have any tips ?💓
