CCs won't show up at all
Hi, I bought Sims 4 yesterday and downloading it went smoothly, but the cc I downloaded won't show up in the game no matter what I do. So far:
- checked the boxes for mods and cc
- have all my cc files as package files in the Mods folder
- moved the mods folder onto desktop
- created a new mods folder
- removed the resource file (I added it back later since it didn't help)
- tried restarting my computer
The cc I downloaded is from thesimsresource and the majority are from the past few weeks, so I don't think it's a patch issue. Also I checked and none of them need a mesh to work. Also, I download a completely new cc and tested it again with only that file in my mods folder and still nothing. I read guides to downloading and using cc during this as well and followed those instructions and still... I'm really bummed out since I was mostly looking forward to using ccs in the Sims and without them I feel like I wasted my money on it :/ If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it! I have a 2014 Macbook Pro if it helps!
@daenjou It sounds like you have a second game folder somewhere on your computer, and the game is reading that folder (and saving to it) instead of the one to which you've added your cc. The most likely culprit is your iCloud drive, so try disabling it. Then do the same thing as before—create a save, quit, and look for that save in the game folder.
