custom content not showing up in game (sims 4 on mac)

hi everyone,

so i recently downloaded a whole heap of furniture and decor cc for my game and nothing is showing up.

i have not had this problem before (i have lots of clothes and hairstyles) but none of the new content is showing up

i would appreciate any help and if it provides any help i am playing on my macbook air (and have had no problems running the game)

@Zentyx64 So just to be clear, you created a clean folder, then put a cc item or two in it, then loaded a new save, and the cc didn't show up? Make sure you're using cc that has specifically been updated since the Seasons patch came out, as not all creators check their work right away. And, of course, make sure that the box in options to enable script mods is still checked.

I had to update my game and now my cc won't show up and i need help fixing that.
