macOS catalina CC tray issues

oh my gosh!!! i am going absolutely crazy. i'm not new to sims nor am i new to downloading cc; i've played on pc and i've played on mac, which is what my current OS is. i'm currently in the process of downloading new lots since i've gotten too lazy to build my own.

now.

my issues is: despite downloading and unzipping cc lots, moving the "mods" folder to the mods, making sure there are no subfolders within BOTH the mod and tray folders, my cc lots are not showing up!

my mac and game are updated to the most current versions as are my mods. i use keka as a default extractor and here's a list of things i've done:

1. i've checked to make sure "allow cc/script mods" is enabled

2. i've checked "include custom content" in the gallery.

3. i've searched for the lot names within my game.

4. i've copied the folders of the original tray folder INTO the custom mod folder.

5. i've taken out the mods and repaired my games.

i've done, literally everything i can think of doing... please help!!

There shouldn't be any tray files or folders in the Mods folder. If you're downloading lots with CC included the .package files go in your Mods folder and the rest of the files go in your Tray folder for the Lot.

hi!! thank you for replying! and sorry for the confusion; i mean that when i unzip the cc lot, there's a folder that says "mods/cc" and another that says "tray", so i've placed the mods/cc in the correct place and i've placed the tray files in the correct space, however nothing shows up in game ☹️

Thanks 🙂 None of them are still zipped up within the folders? Only files ending in .package and .ts4script should be in the Mods folder. As for the Tray files, maybe they are incomplete? Do you have CC enabled in the in-game options?
