Multiple Documents folders, Saves and Mods not loading

Hi, I am having a similar problem. I have had the sims on my Mac for a while with practically no issues however yesterday I went to open the game as usual and it asked me to restart due to a new update which I did. After reopening it the game was functioning and the expansion packs I had purchased are too, but previous saves were gone with no option to 'Load Game' and when I went into CAS my custom content had all completely disappeared, the filter for custom content was also gone. My storage is not full and I feel like I have tried everything. Although I would love my previous saves back what I really want is access to my cc and mods. Any ideas? thank you in advance 🙂

    Thank you so much 🙂 just found the correct documents folder. However my mods file is empty in it and there is no saves file. If I move those from the incorrect one I have been using will it cause issues or not work?

    And afterwards should I delete the incorrect one or rename and move it?

    All was going well, transferred saves over successfully and thought I had transferred the mods over too but they aren't there. I thought maybe I just put them in the incorrect place but searching for them I cant find them at all.

    nevermind they seem to have reappeared phew! about to run the game and see!

    Thank you so much, I have just run the game and all my saves and custom content are there. Thank you for your help and patience you are a lifesaver! 🙂
