"Origin is not currently running" Issue [SOLVED]

I'm getting this issue specifically on my Mac whenever i try to run The Sims 4 through Origin (or even through my deck). I can't open it, it's been doing this for a while. Does this have to do with outdated or broken custom content? I've tried repairing multiple times.

.... um, this is embarassing, but you know the one thing I didn't think to do? Restart my Mac...
And I did. And now it works. So, yeah, i'm sorry, haha.

The game will always launch through Origin even if you launch it directly through a Dock/Desktop shortcut or the install location.

Open Terminal and copy/paste the following search then hit Enter/Return:

    find ~ -type d -name "*The Sims 4*" 2>/dev/null

It will take a moment to return the results. When it's done please copy/paste the results here.

    All It returned was:

    /Users/myname/Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4

(The myname is obviously in place of my real name. Sorry about that).

It's annoying because this doesn't happen on my gaming computer, just on my mac, but sometimes I just feel like being able to play without getting up to go sit at a desk for hours.

I just gave it a try and it didn't work :/ Thank you for the suggestion, though!

I don't know if this means anything but this was in my origin log:
**677 [2020-09-18 02:27:55.614] Error recordErrorIfGamePathNotAccessable 4642928064 [GameFolderFileNotFound] game installation folder/file [Contents/MacOS/bootstrap/] is not found/accessible and actual game executable path from registry is [/Contents/MacOS/bootstrap]

And in my crash reports from my mac:
    Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
    Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000
    Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

    Termination Signal: Segmentation fault: 11
Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 0xb
    Terminating Process: exc handler [51175]
