Re: Graphics issue with any reflective/shiny surface

Okay so I don’t know if anyone is still having this issue but I have found a solution that worked for my MacBook. I didn’t uninstall or remove mods. I decided to look through my mods which are organized in folders and I noticed that one of the folders contained tray files. If you don’t know what tray files are they are files that go in the tray folder of TS4 folder to show things like lots, houses, or sims you may download online. Tray files usually look like (xx0000796) lots of zeros lol that’s the best way I can explain them. But, I removed the tray files from my mods folder and the shiny floors and objects were gone.

Thank for posting what worked for you, always helpful for anyone who may be in the same situation.

Tray files should only ever be in the Tray folder. The typical vanilla user wouldn't have them anywhere else but it is common for some users when they first download a Lot/Household/Room from anywhere other than the in-game Gallery to mistakenly place the files in their Mods folder. Always make sure to read the creator's install instructions before adding any files to your game from a 3rd party 🙂
