I tried doing what the first link said to do. I have actually tried that before and it worked temporarily, but I uninstalled Late Night and reinstalled it and tried it again, but that blue and green Sims logo loading screen is still popping up and freezing.

How did you uninstall it? Did you use the uninstaller then go into the hidden lIbrary files and get rid of the residual files the installer leaves behind?

I actually didn't see an uninstaller like I have for the Sims 3 base game. I did just delete the files though, and removed the disk.

You said in your previous post you downloaded Late Night. If that's the case what disc are you using? Please can you also list what EPs/SPs you have?

I'm not sure what you mean by what disc I'm using. I downloaded it using the disc that came with the Sims Starter Pack that I bought. Late Night is the only EP I have downloaded.

Ah ok, I think you mean installing it from the disc? Downloading would give the impression that you have obtained Late Night from the internet 🙂

Let's try from scratch again. Please can you do the following, in this order:

1. Completely uninstall the game. Instructions on doing this properly and getting rid of all files here.
2. Install just the base game.
3. Download and apply the correct 1.67 manual patch for your disc region.
4. Install Late Night.
5. Open the Launcher and apply any patch it prompts for.
6. Follow the instructions to get LN installed in the game folder.
7. Attempt to launch the game. If it doesn't work then apply the Unknown Error fix.

Let me know how you get on.

Okay! I did all of those steps in that order, and everything went exactly as planned until the very end, after I applied the Unknown Error fix. I tried to launch the game but I still got the Unknown Error popup.

Like I said yesterday, I applied the Unknown Error fix and the Unknown Error is still popping up. How do I fix this?
