Sims 4 'Application not responding' 2017

im having the exact same problem and ive tried absolutely everything that you are recommending. im about to pull my hair out

imac mid 2010

processor 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3

memory 4gb 1333 MHz DDR3

You haven't provided all the information asked for about your game and Mac so I have no idea if you are using Mods, if you have tried repairing the game, antivirus etc. Your game should be able to run but probably on lowish settings. Have you moved the Sims 4 folder out and tried a new, clean game? Have you tried playing in a new user account?

im not using mods my computer was wiped clean before I even installed the game. I've done everything possible it just won't work.

Please can you list exactly what you have tried? I would like to check if there is anything you have missed as it is strange that you cannot play. Can you also please explain exactly what is happening? Does Origin launch? What happens when you press play in Origin? What happens when you open the game from within your Applications folder?

So since yesterday my Sims 4 game will not launch on my mac.

A black screen appears and then after a few seconds disappears again and I am left with the spinning colour wheel cursor. When I right click on the game icon it says "Application not responding".

Have tried "repairing" and uninstalling and reinstalling, both were unsuccessful.

Help!

I've done everything you listed in this thread. when I click the game my screen go black for a minute as though its loading, then it brings me back to my main computer screen and then when I right click the sims 4 symbol it says application not responding 

I am having the exact same issues as you are!

Have tried all the suggestions in this thread and still nothing.

My mac specs are:

macOS High Sierra version 10.13.2

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014)

Processor: 1.4GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 4GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

It helps if you list what you have tried for me (it saves me having to read the previous 3 pages on this thread) but if you're not happy to that's fine.

You both have fairly low powered Macs with 4Gb RAM. Did this happen after installing a new add on pack? Can you play just the base game? You will need to uninstall the game, turn off automatic downloads in Origin, then reinstall just the base game to check this.
