sims 4 application not responding

On origin when I click to play the icon for the sims 4 bounces in my dock and it doesn't open and when it stops bouncing and I try to click on it it still doesn't open, I right click on it and it says application not responding, this has been happening since the last patch (December 2018)

I have tried reinstalling the game and origin

I have tried repairing the game

I have near enough tried everything, is this happening to anyone else? I need help I'm desperate to play with my expansion packs.

    When you installed the game, and Origin, you would have been prompted to allow permission for the apps to access various folders on your Mac. Did you allow or disallow these?

    System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy

    Make sure Origin has access to Removable Drives (if your game is installed externally) and The Sims 4 has access to Removable Drives and the Documents folder.

    Hi i don't understand i was playing earlier today and i have literally looked up so many tutorials how to fix and none of them helped me  when i open up origin and try to click play it wouldnt work it would bounce down there and say application not responding i have tried your method but i dont really understand what you mean?
