Sims 4 crashes my entire computer every time I open it?
I've played the sims on this computer for over 2000 hours and I've never had any problems. Yesterday morning after two hours of gameplay, my entire computer randomly kernel panicked. I restarted my computer normally and tried to open the game again, and my whole mac immediately crashed again, but this time it didn't show the kernel panic screen and it wouldn't restart. I had to force shutdown and restart in safe mode, and even then it crashed within a few minutes of me logging in. I restarted and ran diagnostics, which came up completely clean, but when I tried to start the sims again the same thing happened. I took it to the Apple store and they confirmed that all the hardware is working perfectly fine. I had to wipe my whole computer (all my stuff was backed up so not a huge deal, but still annoying), and reinstalled my operating system. I downloaded all the apps I regularly use with no problem, backed up and deleted my EA folder from documents, and tried to start the sims again. The whole thing happened again, and I repeated all those steps.
I've gone through this process several times now. I can't run a clean version of the game at all. Everything is completely up to date- I updated my OS, origin, and got the latest game patch. Obviously no mods or cc because I removed the entire folder. It's a late 2017 MacBook Pro with 8GB memory and plenty of free hard drive space running MacOS Monterrey 12.3. The problem only happens when I try to launch sims- literally every other app I have works fine.
My computer has never kernel panicked from any task other than the sims. It happened one time before, but the problem was fixed when I updated my OS. I have all the expansion packs/game packs/stuff packs/kits (ya ik i'm bad with money) and I really just want to play my game. Is anyone else having this problem?
