Sims 4 graphics keep glitching

First there are tiny graphic glitches like small white spots in the background. Then graphics go completely out of whack like this. Sims get frozen or move weirdly then vanish with the different menus. Then I can't click anything. I can't use keyboard commands to pull up anything. Then the screen goes black. And the only way to close the game is to force quit using the activity monitor. This keeps happening since the update before the most recent one.

I tried the instructions on how to fix these kind of graphic issues from a different thread (with the options.ini file), multiple times but to no avail. It kind of working until the Sims 4 updated again to add the burglar, then the graphic issues came back.
